Late on a Thursday night, I had a tooth fracture. Comfort Dental was able to squeeze me in on Friday afternoon even as a new patient. Obviously, as a chain dental office, I was not expecting and did not receive the warm greetings or personal approach that I am used to coming from a small southern town in Virginia. However, the dentist, Dr. Craven, I believe, was outrageously thorough when explaining why my tooth had cracked, how this was impacting my jaw and inexpensive options to try on my own before ordering a custom mouth guard from him, which he saw as a last ditch effort because the cost was prohibitive. He was very understanding and kind when I told him some of my concerns about my other teeth and he was able to fill the cracked tooth, a second chipped tooth, and a cavity all in the one visit. I never felt like I was a second class citizen though my insurance is Colorado Medicaid and I have experienced this at other places. The reviews for this office are terrifying but do not reflect my personal experience here. I doubt people with mediocre or even great cleanings or visits at a dentist are really all that motivated to go back and write a review so I blame that for the low ratings.

If I could give a zero star, I would . I went in for a cleaning . Turns out , I needed two fillings on the top done. Went with the fillings , came home and was in pain for a week. Went back in for the other fillings on the bottoms and mention it to the DR. He has no concerns whatsoever. Should’ve never went back in, as they messed up my bottom tooth as well. Cannot floss through it at all. Do not go here unless you want to be in pain. Went in with no pain and came out with pain . Will not return!

This was the worst experience I have never had at a dentist office. I went in because I had a filling fall out. Made an appointment, had to wait for over an hour to see the dentist, and he was in a rush to get things done. He took more than half my tooth and drilled holes and placed fillings in teeth that didn’t even need work. I came home in pain and was in no pain when I arrived there. When I called the office they told me fillings are supposed to hurt and to give it a couple days. Then said “you need a root canal in that tooth” Staff is really rude and inexperienced with dental hygiene. They were telling me what I needed done over the phone.

Dr. Craven has been very efficient at removing my wisdom teeth over the last few years. In my household I like to call him “The Butcher.” He is super effective at getting the job done quick and I think this man could extract intel from an Al Qaeda member if he had to.nnThanks for helping me out. I hope to not return anytime soon if I’m lucky, but if I do I’ll probably be back to see Dr. Craven. Thanks.
