Civic Plaza

Nice place, beautiful views in Albuquerque

Lots of great updates to Albuquerque's Civic Plaza have been made in the last few years. Great outdoor spaces with playgrounds and stages. Good underground parking has been updated as well.

The new playground is open! We headed over with the kiddos tonight and found the new play yard complete with swings and slides to be the perfect distraction at the end of a long weekend. Foam rubber padding is a great surface for the little one to work on his crawling/walking/standing and the toddler swings are slung at waist height so no bending over! We loved every minute.

I really appreciated what the community is trying to do with activities like movies in the plaza. It is a great way to have affordable fun. Yes, there are a lot of homeless around, but we felt very safe. They had snacks for sale, the splash bad running and scooters to rent. It was great fun for the whole family...including pets!

Nice place but some people decided to graffiti some of it. The playground was really neat.
