This man knows more about antique lighting than anyone I've ever met! Specialist in American kerosene burners!
Gave 5 stars for the help given. My lamp was broken and I needed to have it repaired. I think I was extra lucky that day because Bob helped me right away. This is place is as very special as the proprietor. Treat it gently.
I wandered into this shop yesterday and what a wonderful surprise. This store has the most extensive collection of antique lighting. Bob, who is the owner, said he has been in business there for 65 years. It sure shows with his extensive collection. It was a pleasure to talk lighting with him as he showed me around. I got a sample of his wonderful knowledge and the history of an era past. I bought two antique light shades from him and he is going to custom make the light fixtures to accommodate them. I keep looking at the shades with complete joy. I may have been able to find something similar on Ebay but I wouldn't have Bob's knowledge and expertise to take care of something so old. This was the highlight of my day off work. I would highly recommend this store to everyone. Especially collectors who love everything about lighting.
Bob Musselman is one of a kind. His specialty is antique lighting. He can fix anything literally. He has been doing this for more than half a century. Don't let his age fool you. He is more energetic than seniors twenty years his junior. I was restoring an 1895 Victorian house and trying to reuse all the early 20th century and art deco pieces. You need to be patient but it is worth the wait. Not only does he repair the electrical he restores the finish and polishes the glass crystals too. I can't imagine these 6 chandeliers looking any better the first day they were hung fifty to one hundred years ago.nPeople like Bob need to be appreciated and learned from as they are a wealth of first hand knowledge that after they pass you will only be able to read about it in books.
