Mark 2 Construction

This is the same review as I left in yelp. I would like to post my review everywhere to recommend Mark’s team based on the excellent work they did in our house.nnMark just completed a loft build out project for us. We are more than happy for the work his team did.nBefore we met Mark, we were in a tough situation. We were struggling to find the right contractor, and struggling to deal with architect, HOA and city building and safety department. Finally we have floor plan approved, the previous contractor we picked and paid deposit told us they only can do hourly labor based work since the approved plan is not clear enough to them or double the original estimation.nThen we found Mark. He gave us very good impression. We decided to change the contractor for this project even we cannot get deposit back from previous contractor.I think this this the best decision we made since we started put effort on this project.nWe highly recommend Mark’s team.n1. Mark has a lot of experience and well communicated to us for project schedule and detailn2. His employees are very nice and work hard and very detailn3. They completed this project timely, about 35 days including special material lead time in between and 4 times city inspections. And all inspections passed smoothly. My neighbor did same project 7 years ago and spent 3 months.n4. For a structure construction project, they minimized the effects by put extra protection and constantly cleaning the working area.n5. His price is very reasonable.nnWe really appreciate his team and the quality work his team done.

My husband and I moved to our current home just over 2 years ago. We had downsized from a home that we loved, so the move was bittersweet. To make our new house into a home, we asked Mark to remodel our kitchen (including a small addition), two bathrooms, a home office, and a fireplace. The result was amazing! This year, we decided to merge two small rooms into a new, larger laundry room. Of course, we called Mark, and the result was outstanding. We have remodeled 3 homes over the past 40 years, and he is the best contractor we have worked with - on time, on budget, and always great results.

I'd be more than happy to add my 5 stars to Mark's crown ! Just re-did my kitchen down to the studs and couldn't be happier. Mark was so easy to work with. He had great ideas for design and was involved from day one in the planning. There was no lag time in the job. Once the demo took place it was straight through to finish. He was on the job site daily overseeing his subs and all of them performed high quality work. He is reliable and knowledgeable and I would highly recommend Mark2Construction.

Mark Varnum has done 4 projects for me starting with a 740 sq ft workshop for my husband. In 2013 he did a home remodel except for the kitchen, which is being done now in 2016. He also did a patio cover remodel for me. All work is done right the first time by artisans, who take pride in their work. The current job is a kitchen remodel (to the studs and start over). He made my vision come alive. I highly recommend Mark and his team.
