EVCC just laid off 25 employees, some who had more than 30 years on the job, without notice and without following their collective bargaining agreement.nnIf EvCC doesn’t treat their employees fairly, they won’t treat students fairly and they show disregard for the community.
I am absolutely appalled by the actions of Everett Community College! They have breached the Collective Bargaining Agreement by illegally laying off their staff!
Everett CC laid off workers without following their union's contract! Some of these staff members had worked for the college for more than 30 years. I can't condone a college that harms the people that make it function this way. This is especially cruel during the pandemic and economic recession.
Everett Community College Management - respect your hard working staff and their contract
Firing long time staff with no notice during a pandemic is heartless. Breaking the collective bargaining agreement is chilling, EVCC is clearly not a safe place to work.
