I love this place so much!!! It is so much fun especially the camps. You always start by saddling your horse and walking down to the arena. Then, you will warm your horse up by walking around the arena a couple times and then we move to trot and eventually canter. The camps will teach you vaulting on the horse and many games on horseback like Red Rover, Tag, Musical Tires/Stalls. The horses here are so so so sweet and you will get attached to them. The instructor will stay in the arena with you and sometimes some of the helpers there too. The ranch provides tack and even boots if you don’t have any. I really suggest this place it will be an experience you will never forget.

Jane is the best instructor I could ever ask for. I am currently taking lessons and I am in the advanced intermediate class. I have been riding for a while.

Called about a short ride for our 5 year old grandson. The lady ask me if I was a Solicitor,I said no . I just had a question. Do you have anytime I could this week I could bring him to ride for 15 minutes. She was very rude and said NO TO EVERYTHING BEFORE I COULD ASK THE NEXT QUESTION.. I use to go there as a kid I loved it. I really wanted our grandson to see and sit on a horse. I will continue to look elsewhere.

Girlfriend jest went here for a day. Had a great time. Learned a lot. The only other time she was around horses was when she was a little girl about 37 years ago. She got kicked in the head then and never been around a horse until now when a friend set up her riding lesson at the Shady Lawn Ranch. Saddling, riding to giving a horse a rub down and cleaning it's hooves after ride.. All that is required from a horse owner was taught to her Giddy up and check the place out. Good clean conditions, with healthy horses and Professional knowledgeable instructors that are very friendly. One of the best places/businesses Stanislaus County has to offer for a fun and educational experience. Easy for me to say the owners of this ranch belong in the group of the best America has to offer the world.
