I really hate to do this, but after shopping here for several years this feedback is long overdue. New Leaf has high quality produce and a nice selection of healthy/clean foods and products. But there is a glaring problem with the customer service. The prepared foods counter and checkout service is more often than not, terrible. There is rarely a hello or even a slight smile and at times staff is engaging in conversion with each other and will barely acknowledge you. Being friendly and polite with these employees makes no difference at all in their behavior. It's as if much of the staff is grumpy or apathetic. At this point and after all these years, I am considering shopping elsewhere. There is no excuse for poor service.
I always enjoy shopping here. Friendly staff, quality produce, and a good selection.
If you live in Capitola or Santa Cruz and you are on the east side or maybe you are visiting from far away places then this is the mecca for organic food. An extra bonus are the beautiful women who work there.
Been shopping here since they open mean ed. Healthy food and helpful workers. Nice deli. What more do you need?
Nice store . The covid distancing at checkup is about 18' I stead of 6'!
