Over the course of the last few years in Graham, I’ve come to realize how things at this school has changed. While there are many great things about this school, academically, there are a few issues on the safety side. Way before I heard about any threats or shootings of some type, I’ll admit, I felt a bit unsafe at this school. It’s not so much about the people, but about the possibilities. Our school is wide open to anyone. Any person or anything can get into the school without any trouble. And our lack of preparation makes us even more exposed to danger. We have only ever practiced drills that would prepare us for cases such as natural disasters. But what we don’t realize, is that natural disasters aren’t the only type of threats around. Maybe, not everyone will agree with me, but I propose that we try practicing code red drills, and other related topics. We can also try and have more security around the school. This is my last year at Graham, but my only hope is that this school improves in security and that students are safer than they were when I attended. I understand some people may feel that things like these are unecessary, but issues like these need to be discussed and acted upon.

A great school, great student environment and great teachers. Computer policies here are trash, and the new lunch policies are terrible. The school used to allow students to go anywhere within campus during lunch, but now they are confined to a specific space.

Good school. Teachers care. Great principal. Some discipline issues with kids that they have trouble managing.

It's a great school with MOSTLY good teachers, and facilities. However, when I was suspended for a day because I fought someone after school, I found it BS that the person who I fought also had the exact same punishment, even though that person both started calling me names and started the physical assault first. Also, the person cracked my glasses and gave me an inch long gash (I had to get 5 stitches for that at the hospital), but how did we get the same punishment? I understand that I wasn't perfectly innocent on what happened, but bruh, was that really fair?

I remember something about Graham made me feel like I couldn't be my own unique person and had to be able to talk about the same things at the same pace as the popular girls (I can't. It makes me want to plug my ears). PE sucks. Even with Mrs. Saunders :( Also I felt shy and un-confident (which has gone a long way since then). Maybe it was me, but middle school wasn't great. The good news is, most of the teachers were good, and by the end of eighth grade, there's a lot of fun activities. I have heard that there are 6th graders who have exes and date just to seem cool.
