Afficient Academy is a really friendly environment with good teachers. My math knowledge has evidently increase and I am doing better in school than i would've without the pre-knowledge Afficient Academy's program has given me. It is really helpful and reasonably challenging, it insures that one will master every topic in the grade before advancing

Afficient is the only center we know which offers Common Core Math tutorials with immediate feedback and weekly charts and reports. The center offers impressive, new Apple computers for the students to work on. There is always 1 or 2 highly qualified math tutors available at the learning center for additional and personal assistance. Parents are offered WiFi while they wait for their children. The refreshments for kids and their parents makes the environment very comfortable. My 2nd grade son enjoys coming to Afficient and has steadily progressed beyond his grade level at school. I am pleasantly surprised that he can work for over an hour without any complaints. Kudos for creating a Common Core Math center allowing kids the ability to progress beyond what is offered at school. Thank you!!

My fourth grade daughter has done ok in math for the past several years. Notably, math homework often led to fights; and she seem to struggle with basics even though she seemed to get concepts. As we move into upper elementary and middle school, I became more and more concerned about what this means for the future, and I signed her up with Afficient Academy on the advice of a friend.nnI've been extremely pleased with her progress. The program is set up so that the student comes in 2-3 times per week for about an hour each time and works on the computer (and paper as well) and with instructors. On other days, the student does at least 30 minutes of homework (also on the computer), with the goal of putting in 5 days of work a week. The instructors are totally aware of what the students are doing there and at home (more than once, one of them has mentioned they noticed my daughter was struggling with this or that on the homework). Parents receive a weekly progress report and occasional emails from instructors where I was told that they'd discovered some problem areas and had worked to help her master the concepts and fix the problems. They started my daughter a couple of grades levels behind where she is in school so she could review and master the material. In the space of a couple of months she's mastered the grades behind her, and most importantly plugged the holes in the basics that have been plaguing her for a couple of years. In a month or two more, she'll start working ahead, which I'm excited about!nnI've seen a difference in her grades on math tests at school. She has been more confident about math, less apt to give up and storm off with homework, and has better work habits - she's slowed down and double checks her work. She's generally somewhere between willing and happy to sit down and do Afficient work as well. The fact that she gets feedback on what she's doing seems to help a lot (ie, she got through some percentage of work for the week in one sitting - she feels accomplishment, which feels different than the math program they use at school).nnI wanted to add in, 3 months into Afficient, my daughter's standardized test score went up 5 percentage points (between her March and May testing). Her scores had not budged in over a year. Afficient was the only change.nnWe love Afficient Academy! I can't wait to start my younger child there once she's hit the right age!
