Carpinteria Station is fairly decently equipped for an unstaffed Amtrak station, with some seating, automated announcements, and a small covered area.nnOf note, this is one of the few Amtrak stations located within easy walking distance from a campground (Carpinteria State Beach), putting the possibility of a car-free camping trip within a easy train ride of downtown Los Angeles.
It’s a charming beach town in Santa Barbara county and I have the best memories there.
Stop blowing your horn at like midnight. Most annoying and unnecessary thing I’ve ever heard. No one is on your tracks. Stop.
