When I moved from San Diego to San Francisco, I was nervous that I wouldn't be able to find an acupuncturist that I would like as much as my lady in SD. I could not have been more wrong and I am so glad because Mia is amazing.nnI see Mia for migraine prevention, I have an extremely tight neck and shoulders which constantly need TLC including stretching, massage and acupuncture. When I get lazy with any of these items and stress creeps up in my life it never fails, I'll get a migraine. For those of you who know how bad they are, you know that they're debilitating causing your life to go full stop. I honestly do not want to live a life where migraines dictate what I can and cannot do and migraine medication has NEVER worked for me, I don't know why. Which is where Mia and her training/knowledge of the body come into play. Without her, I think I would probably suffer from migraines a lot more than I do. After each of my sessions, I leave feeling relaxed and a little more healed. I actually prefer acupuncture over massage because I do feel like the benefits last longer. (Don't get me wrong I LOVE a massage, I just LOVE acupuncture even more.)nnMia is incredibly smart, dedicated and instantly makes you feel welcome and comfortable in her space, which by the way is this very cool San Franciscan Edwardian space in West Portal. Mia is clean, professional and truly cares about her patients seeing progress and for all these reasons plus more I always recommend my friends and co-workers to go see her and now I'm recommending you to do the same.nnI also appreciate that Mia takes insurance from my provider and works with them so that I'm not having to deal with the paperwork only my co-pay.nnThank you Mia for everything and I cannot wait until I come in for my next appointment.

After 2 treatments my lower back pain was alleviated. Recuperation that usually takes 2-3 weeks of pain and moving carefully was reduced to 24-48 hours for return to normal and painless movement. Wonderful bedside manner and individualized care and treatment.
