Oceana Pet Hospital

I needed to take my pup in for an emergency check up due to eye swelling and I called 6 different Vet clinics/hospitals before finally finding this lovely place. I immediately felt understood and validated once talking to the receptionist about my dogs issue and when I asked if they were able to take her in on such short notice, she said yes without hesitation! Every other vet I called before finding Oceana Pet Hospital declined helping us out, so I was incredibly grateful to find them. They were able to figure out what was wrong and treat my pup accordingly and they were incredibly kind, reliable and responsive throughout the entire process. (With COVID being around it is strictly a drop off, no contact process, and they called me with updates very efficiently) I would recommend this vet to anyone, especially people who need emergency help during the COVID times. I am so happy to find Oceana Pet Hospital! We moved to the area just a couple years ago and have taken our little rescue dog to a few hospitals in search of our ideal vet. We love Dr. Nguyen – she is super thorough with her exams and always gives us all of our options. Just like most places, this hospital has pretty strict COVID protocols right now so we can’t be present during the exams but the front desk, technicians, and Dr. Nguyen all make me feel comfortable dropping off my pet.

I bring my pet for vaccinations and told them what vaccinations were due obviously like everywhere they have to see proof and told me to call where my pet got vaccinated and to email them to see what vaccinations are due I was still on the phone the person who was going to send the records to them and one of the employees took my pet and told her so what vaccinations are you doing him ? She said this and this but told her but I haven’t send you records yet to see what he really is due she said don’t worry will see Inside after my dog came out and said so what shots he got bortella and lepto and said so just those were expired and said no also the influenza and said then why didn’t you put it also knowing it’s due and said you didn’t ask for it am me then why did you wanted to call the vet to send the records ? Thats why I called and send the records so they can see what vaccinations were due and obviously the ones were due were the ones to put on so that really irritated me . First ask the records before the appointment so that way when you come in you know what the pet is getting and avoiding all this imagine my dogs vaccinations were not due and then not checking the records they put it again and my pet has a bad reaction?? Just be careful and yes they might say then why didn’t she went where her pet always get vaccinated you want to know why because there next available is until October that’s why and he really need it .

I had a really good experience. service was very fast. prices are very reasonable. front office people are very nice. Dr called me the next day to check on my cat :) . I absolutely recommend this place.

First time Frenchie owner and first time experiencing a veterinarian office. Dr. Butkas was so great answering all of my new puppy concerns over the phone. The nurse or receptionist Trish who brought out my puppy was really great letting me know where she got her vaccines. This was our first choice in the area for a vet office and happy we don't have to look any further!!
