Best Math teacher and learning system we have ever experienced! My son took Mrs. Borac’s 5th grade online math class, even though he was supposed to be starting 6th grade, because he was a full year behind in math. Here’s a brief history:nnI had pulled my son out of public school because he was in an enclosed classroom (autism, but highly functioning) and wasn’t really learning anything. I decided to Homeschool but needed a math teacher because, even though I often know how to solve problems, I do not know how to explain or teach it, and I ended up frustrating my son. He didn’t like math.nnI signed up doe Mrs. Borac’s math class online, and Mrs. Borac instantly made a connection with my son. I watched as her enthusiasm quickly spread to each child in her class. She was patient, kind and positive, and the kids really responded to her in a positive way. After spending time with Mrs. Borac, my son became hooked on math. He looked forward to every class meeting (even when he was sick with the flu one day). Mrs Borac has a combination of skills that make her highly successful with kids on any level:nn1) Mrs. Borac has such a contagious personality, it spills over on her students. Without this, nothing else would really matter to my son, andnn2) In the online class, Mrs. Borac spends time with each child, meeting them where they are at, and explaining concepts in such a way that my son came out really understanding the big picture of math and can now work complicated problems, even on topics he isn’t familiar with, because he understands a bigger picture then was taught to him prior. Instead of just listening to a lecture, Mrs. Borac keeps the kids constantly involved and actively participating in her presentation each step of the way. No time wasted on things they already understood, so they were able to spend more time on what they needed. They even learned some great shortcuts, tips and tricks they can use for math competitions and S.A.T.’s.nnMy son literally learned enough in just one semester with her, that he is no longer a year behind and is actually ahead of his grade level now. Painlessly. I obviously highly recommend Mrs. Borac and Goods Of The Mind. If your child has a chance to meet with her in any format, consider it your lucky day!

Ms. Cleo is a great math teacher. She is excellent at helping kids understand fundamental math concepts and resourceful at finding different teaching methods and materials to use.
