This was my elementary school from 1980 to 1988. It was called the Cabrillo Alternative Program. My understanding, is that the state of California in the 1970s was discouraging parents being involved in there childrens education. They therefore created a public school, that required parents to donate ninety hours per school year to the school.nnYou wouldn't believe the level of education that we received. Imagine, going to school with a group of kids whose parents placed education as there number on priority.nnI am so thankful to all the teachers and parents, so many years later.
