Palo Alto Planning Department is terribly inefficient. When reviewing new home plans, they always listen to neighbors, delay projects, and put unnecessary blockers for home owners. Always delaying things, never on time.nnThey don't want to be responsible as an authority; they are not qualified to understand actual building codes and rules, while they'd rather listen to obsolete and meaningless talkings from old neighbors; they don't want to push projects forward, while always trying to drag projects. From them, you can know why housing in Palo Alto is so expensive. Very disappointed!

Citizen access to government, lots of ability to give input and participate in informing decisions or to serve on committees and help shape recommended policies.

Im just reviewing the outside area. The blue trees are a wonderful addition to downtown palo alto, bringing attention to issues of deforestation. Its a really uniquely Californian statement, and id like to see other city governments initiate these minds of projects.

Most efficient government interaction ever. Went to go buy parking passes for my work, and apply for a parking permit (although I am still waiting on being called back for that) and it only took about 10 minutes of my day.
