I have gotten my Birkenstock’s and comfort shoes here since the 90’s. The owner is probably one of the most knowledgeable Birkenstock guys in the biz. My new must have is his NICE line of house slippers and sheepskin boots. They are my new very thoughtful gifts to our favorite teacher and favorite family members. They are Birkenstock meets ugg at a way higher quality. I can’t live without the house slippers on my hard floors! They are like firm clouds. I’m a lifetime customer! I call and he ships my order same day all the time! I much prefer supporting small business vs amazon or Zappos.

Amazing customer service by the young women helping me! I feel terrible for her not making the sale as the shoes I wanted to buy had a spot of Glue on the leather, clearly a defect. She called her manager and he said he wasn't able to do anything about it. Therefore I will be bringing my business online to get a fresh pair...Unfortunate, hope managers / store owners continue to understand the importance of honoring the customer. So many small things they can do to close deals or make a sale. Giving $10 off he would have made $125, gotten a happy customers, and probably more return purchases.
I hate leaving bad reviews, but getting any sort of help here was like pulling teeth. There were 4 people behind the counter or in the back rooms, 1 person organizing the store floor, 2 customers in the shop (including myself), and nobody was helping me out. Great shoes can be difficult to find, and having an expert help with measurements, observations, and suggestions can make the difference. I got almost none of that here.nnAdditionally, there selection was very poor. They only had two kinds of men's hiking boots, only one of which was in my size, and none of them fit comfortably.nnIf you don't need hands on service, you're way better off buying online: cheaper prices and better selection. If you want top notch service, go to The Mountain Air. That's where I ended up buying my boots from.
Were you actually charged the $150 without the shoes being shipped. If you were charged you should be able to get your order number from the receipt and then contact the company with the order number. It would be easier to track down the order that way. I would be curious to know if you ever got your shoes.
