I have boarded and passed through the Gillespie Field MTS Station in El Cajon several times. Both of the times I purchased tickets at the vending machines I had some trouble and almost missed my train. As other reviewers have noted, this station can use some T.L.C. Otherwise this station is clean and typical of MTS.

Good stop over all but there’s a problem with the ticket machine, for card users seems we can rarely get it to work. I’ve seen many people not able to get a ticket out of the machine in time and have to get off at the next stop to purchase their ticket

There is no convenience store or vending machine at the station. Only bench and trash can. Homeless people smoke occasionally.
