Nice park seen a lot of birds and wildlife while walking around the trails. There were a few rabbits running around. I liked all the cactus plants, felt kind of like being in an old western movie.

This hike was interesting due to the fact that there was multiple hikes that you can consider. Please wear gym attire and be mindful that you are on your own time.

So I came back to this trail using the Limerick entrance and it's definitely harder. I don't recommend the Limerick entrance unless you're fond of having your hands on the dirt as you climb down towards the main San Clemente park and back up to the Limerick entrance on the way back. The walk after/before the climb is great, but to get there is brutal. My dogs enjoyed it, but I definitely didn't. The Limerick side almost looks like you're climbing eroded limestone which I highly recommend having great hiking shoes. I had running shoes, so it was a slow treck. I would recommend doing the Cobb St entrance instead. Steep stairs at the entrance but definitely worth it for the beautiful tree shaded path as you walk towards the main park.

Beautiful canyon off the 52 day and Regents. Great stay-cation spot.
