De Portola Middle School Foundation

I love the school so much. I love the teachers. But the special ED teachers always mess around with the kids who aren't doing anything and I think they should be doing their job and not focusing on us.

I can safely say that De portola Middle School is one of the better schools in San Diego. I attended De Portola middle school middle school as a child, and am now currently working there. De Portola has a large amount of funding for clubs & elective classes compared to other San Diego schools. Currently they have just been awarded a very large robotics grant and next year will have a teacher dedicated to teaching just that. I've worked all over the San Unified School District, and they are one of the only middle schools that I've worked at the district that still has a wide variety of elective classes for the students to choose from. The Administration team is one of the most professional that I've worked with. Rigid enough to command the respect of both students, parents, and staff alike, yet at the same they are still laid back enough to feel comfortable being yourself around. This may not seem like much to Someone who is not a teacher, but De Portola is one of the only schools where I've noticed the bulk of the staff actually eating together all in a single group in the break room . Everybody seems to look out for one another, and is not afraid to respectfully and tactfully bring attention to aspects of one another that could be worked on.nnAfter both my experience as a staff member an a student, I've love my experience at De Portola middle school

while i do enjoy this school it also has one connThe food is not the greatest while the snacks at ASB are better then the actual food its selfnso far that was the only con i could think of

i dont like mr crawford even tho i never had his hes like an angry shrimp but mr clean is pretty clean

Good teachers and overall a very good school
