There is no swimming in the lake, but you can take paddle boats out on it. The pool is currently drained due to Covid issues. Not as nice as other camping locations, but it is situated near a lovely view of the mountains.

Really nice park. Comfortable to stay for several days. Clean facilities and friendly staff. There are trout to be caught although they don't get caught easy. They're fat & delicious. Park could use a few more picnic tables in the beach area (you can't swim in the lake though, it's a city water reservoir).

Holiday special: $20 entry per vehicle, day use, includes fishing. Normal price to get in and fish would have cost our family about $80.nnThe bathrooms were clean & close by. Our kids enjoyed the playground when they lost patience with waiting for fish to bite.nnNo crowds. In fact there were few people there. All were either camping or fishing. During our 5 hour visit there wasn't a single fish caught by anyone, it wasn't just our lack of skill/experience.nnThe staff at the gate were friendly. Our closest fishing neighbors were smoking cigarettes & a huka, they weren't too friendly. Oh well.

A beautiful oasis in the SoCal desert. Picnic area, play equipment for the kids, and a little lake with a beach to help beat the often furnace like heat.nnWe were here in May and the temperature was 108°F! Sun was very intense. Be prepared; carry plenty of water, sunscreen and wear a hat. Also, check play equipment for temperature before allowing young children on it. When the temperature climbs through the triple digits, the equipment gets hot enough to burn skin. Best to go early morning or evening during the hot months (May through September). We went late morning and it was HOT!

Beautiful park, not a ton to do other than hike and gaze at the water, but it is rather lovely.
