Had a late arrival, and the office was very helpful setting us up in a spot that was easy to find in the dark. Unfortunately it was a 50amp spot, and we needed 30amp. They said the had converters, and would leave one attached for us... when we arrived there was no converter. Not the end of the world, but if I'm spending the money for hookups then I want to be able to have power.
We had a very nice stay at Blue Mountain. Luke was very helpful in showing us dispersed camping areas and suggesting places to go. Park is well run and maintained. Only issue was the dust from the traffic around the park. We would stay there again.
Nothing fancy but great place to explore the ruins that are everywhere through the washes. Luke who works the front desk is also a guide for hire and is a wealth of knowledge. He showed us some great places to explore.
THIS is how a campground should be set up!! I wish there were more to do in the area so we could stop here more often! We ride OHV in the mountains and could have large numbers here if there were trails to ride. The campground was beautiful, shady, spacious and even though they were working on additions of shower houses (check those out, they are awesome!)and other things, they had it looking exceptional with rock paths through the dirt work. I would highly recommend to anyone traveling through to make this place a stop. The store has lots of goodies and the staff is exceptional!
We love Blue Mountain RV Park. The owners and staff are great. We love hiking in the fascinating ruins, meeting the people of Blanding and enjoying the views. We have had stays four times in five years. Always good.
