The Pharmacy at Safeway in Mount Vernon is not what I thought it was. I went in yesterday to get a flu shot. I specifically asked for the High Dose for seniors. They agreed. The assistant called me and I asked her if the shot she was giving me was the High Dose that I requested. She said yes and proceeded to give me the shot. Oh my gosh it hurt so bad, I think it was her first time. I got the paper that explains what flu shot Is. It said Quadravalant and did not see any HD or High Dose on it. The bad thing is I called the pharmacist to question him about it. He lied and said that was the high dose. I was able to ask another pharmacist if it was and he specified that was not the HD flu shot. They should have just told me they were out or we don’t have it. I could have waited. But instead lied about it. Never will I go to that pharmcy again.

I have been here many times but the last time I was here I bought some stir fry veggies and they were bad before I could use them so I ended up throwing all of them away. Besides that I really like this store for shopping and getting my gas there as well as getting my weekly lottery tickets. It's right in the town near other shopping and restaurants that I like so it's convenient for me.

Never had any major issues with this pharmacy. Any and all issues are always resolved quickly. Friendly staff.

If the associates that work the front counter weren't dismissive, it could be 5 stars. I gave it 3 instead of 1 because once you talk to someone else like a pharmacist, they take care of you.nnCustomer service doesn't have to be mediocre. I expect more from Safeway. This is treatment you'd expect from that big-box discount store.
