Reviews
In case any poor fellow actually uses GOOGLE REVIEWS as criteria for judging a high school, I would like to submit my opinion here among the other scrubs who reviewed Edison.nnEdison High School is, in short, a great school excelling in many aspects. It has a good range of courses for the ones who want to coast easily through high school but also those ones that are so challenging that you feel you are in a full-time college class, are miserable while in, but afterwards feel the greatest sense of accomplishment and new understanding. Any student there knows exactly what classes I am talking about. In addition, I always felt safe at Edison and rarely witnessed bullying or any other crime. As with any school, there are good and bad teachers. However, I felt privileged at Edison because of the large number of teachers I encountered there who had a profound affect on me and I will remember throughout my college years as the best educators I have ever had. My fellow students are also great people and there are a great number of fun and academic clubs here. I don't really need to say any more.nnBut seriously, if you are actually looking for a high school get off Google Reviews and use a better website, or check out the school personally. When I was submitting this review, it asked me for no credentials or anything. I could just be ordinary Joe the Internet troll and submit a review for ANYTHING. So be lucky that you got an actual Edison student if that's what you were looking for.nnAlso be sure to ignore those other scrubs who left one or two word reviews. This actually is quite fun. Maybe I should go write a review for the place I ate lunch today...
Great High School. Some of my friends went here. They have a better football team then FVHS (where I went). During my years at FV, we never won the bell game.
I am so tired of group projects!! The teacher does nothing about kids that do not follow through. Instead they blame the other kids in the group for picking the people in their group. This is not fair as they do not always get to pick their group. My child is very on top of her work and then to have to pick up the slack for those that don't care is not right. Many nights she stays up past midnight to finish for the other people. How about everyone doing their own work and STOP with the group projects. It does not teach team work! Every week she has at least one if not more.
Edison Turf Field for CSL competition: Field in excellent condition. Spectator seating available, but no shade. Player seating provided. Parking lot closest to field was locked which made for a long walk. One, disgusting and unkempt port-a-pot available with very limited supply of toilet paper and no hand sanitizer.
Sports-heavy school. Not much emphasis on anything else.
