Discovery Sea Kayak Tours

Booked a half day kayak tour in early September and it was amazing. Super helpful staff when working out where to park and what kit to take/not take with us. Chad was our awesome guide for the trip, he was very quick getting us setup for the water, went through all the safety info and took all the necessary Covid precautions. Once out in the water Chad was a great source of information about the environment and habitat of coastal San Juan island. He took us down to the lighthouse and en route we saw a bald headed eagle enjoying a snack, followed quickly by Orcas! J-pod were having fun and splashing their way North and it was absolutely fantastic, we stayed watching them for about 45 mins before heading back. We spent about 2.5 hours on the water in total. Such a great day with lots of great memories. Thanks guys ud83dude00

Really enjoyed our (private) half day tour with Cam! Didn't have luck with whales but saw pups, bald eagles and many birds. Very knowledgeable about the island's history, bird and marine life and things to do while we are in town. Glad we went in the morning because it started to get hot! Nice kayak lesson and safety lesson too at the start. Highly recommend!

The best San Juan Island kayak tour, ever. For three days our experienced guide prepared gourmet meals from the freshest ingredients. What could be better than a San Juan Island kayak tour with the best food, I’ll tell you, seeing orcas. That’s right, whale watching. On the third day, our experienced see kayaking guide, Avery, spotted two orcas. Our tour of inexperienced and beginner kayakers safely watched and photographed orcas. I give Discovery Sea Kayak the highest reviews. What a fun trip!

Adam and Cameron were great guides. They were informative with the bioluminescent tour we did yesterday. Easy to talk to and patient with the pace. We definitely got our monies worth. It was an amazing night. Highly recommended.

Did a half day kayaking tour with Cameron. He was very knowledge about the Island and had lots to share about the plant life, etc as we paddled down the coast. He was also very relaxed which helped when I got a little panicky about paddling through some of the stronger currents. Cameron was very encouraging and I never doubted his ability as a kayak guide. Hopefully we do it again and see whales next time!
