Beyond my greatest expectations!!! A must see for the entire family! One can easily spend a minimum of 4 hours there if not more! The entire exhibit was well planned and thought out, very instructive and enjoyable. How refreshing! Thank you all who work there to make the Monterey Bay Aquarium a place of heaven on earth. This incredible experience will remain with me for the rest of my life.
I thought it would be a one-hour tour, but I stayed at the Aquarium for five hours, so interesting it is. The Aquarium has different floors and countless species of marine beings and birds, including species that live in the depths of the ocean.nnIn addition, during the day there are presentations and feeding the animals, which make the visit even more interesting. Highlight for feeding schools of fish, penguins and sea lions, which is very fun to watch.nnI was impressed with everything I saw at the Aquarium!
I love Aquariums and have managed to visit quite a few as I've traveled the world and this is one of my favorites I have ever seen.nnIt's huge, it has tons of interactive areas and it has a beautiful overlook that allows fresh seawater to flow in and out of a protected area where sea wildlife is thriving.nnI loved the kelp forest inside teaming with fish life.nnI loved the cafe and gift shop.nnWe spent hours here roaming and I still didn't see close to half of everything.nnIt's well worth the price of admission if you love aquariums at all.nnNote: Currently closed for COVID - my husband and I visited in 2019.
Hands down the best aquarium I’ve ever been to. It feels authentic and purposeful, rather than trying to be some kind of theme park-esque entertainment venue (looking at you sea world). So many beautiful exhibits with good environmental education incorporated in. I’ve been to a dozen or more aquariums, and this one is just very special.
Great place where we have been visited several times
