This school is small and like many other high schools there must be issues, however the school is getting better and better, the principal Mr Garcia is very concern about the enrichment of the students, he takes his time to listen to the parents conserns, they even have a special day to go and literally drink coffee or eat breakfast with the principal, so parent can expose their point of view, provided by the school, also the principal works hard to get a higher rate of graduation; on the other side students with high academic achievement get help to go to CSUN after high school...nAlso the principal is working hard to maintain great teachers at Canoga.

One of the best schools I've been to. Was a drop out but loved that it had good teachers with a unique style of teaching. Almost like they were of a newer generation.

I went their in summer for an exchange from Germany and this is such a huge school with so many students like 1700. Also the teachers were bad and the school was dirty

Former student class of 04 and LAUSD TA. As a student the teachers deeply cared about the students. Had it not been for teachers like Stephen Mcguee, Macarrone, Mrs Brahm, Mrs. Tieffer, Former principal, football coaches and former staff I would have never graduated and went on to college. As a TA I found the teachers still cared for their students and very professional. The administration worked very hard to break ground with troubled teens involved in drugs or gangs. Although I saw that gang activity greatly diminished when I worked there. What matters is how much the administration and teachers care which is what I remember from CPHS.
