I took my wife to look at rings, we were on a strict budget. Upon walking in we were greeted by Amy. She asked us what we were looking for and if we had a budget. Her and my wife began to discuss what type of rings my wife was Interested in, Amy showed my wife many different rings with the same style my wife was looking for. We began discussing financing after my wife found the perfect ring. Amy was very helpful with the whole process and did everything to help us out get financed and even offered to clean my wife’s current ring. We were very happy with the outcome and my wife walked out with a priceless smile. Thank you Kevin Jewelers for offering financing because of it I was able to get my wife a well deserved wedding ring.

Kevin’s in the Montclair Plaza is a place you must not go. I was returning an item for a different size, as they do offer exchanges, however I wish I would have known before buying is if the item has to be ordered from their “catalog” the prices are then marked up tremendously. I was quoted 3 different prices for a necklace and the last quote was 100% over the initial price, yes that’s right, the supervisor within 24 hours changed a price from $810.00 to $1,650.00 and said she was giving me a deal on sterling silver. Granted all I wanted was to exchange a necklace that “supposedly” retailed for $699 but with discounts sold for $250. So do the math on what they expected me to pay for an exchange. I am left with not trusting this jewelry store and how they price their items, very shady. This store lost my business, I strongly encourage people to not shop here.

I visited and was assisted by a representative named Erika. She was aware of what I was needing and assured me the jeweler would take a look and I’d receive an estimate. When I received a call a few days later from a different rep she was able to give me a quote but it didn’t include everything Erika and I talked about (one thing was missing) but I did authorize the jeweler to proceed with what he priced me on. I then received a call saying it was ready to be picked up so I went in the following Saturday. Erika wasn’t there but another rep did assist me. Between the first call and me being helped on Saturday it was very clear the conversation between myself and Erika was not relayed to the rest of the staff and the woman that helped me seemed to have an attitude when I questioned things and pointed this out. I was very frustrated with my experience. Erika should have helped me through the whole process or what was to be done should have been relayed to everyone so that confusion didn’t happen.
