This Vet Clinic is the best! They are so very respectful and knowledgeable in pet care. I have been given great advice for my pups and when I lost a pet they were very compassionate and understanding when we set up cremation. The prices for vaccines are affordable on their low cost days. It is also nice they have set times on a weekend. I highly recommend them to anyone. Staff is so sweet I actually recieved a sympathy card from them which means alot during a time of lost. ud83dudc36 Great Job!
DR.Jeff Ohm was amazing but the manager Ashley has a really bad attitude from the moment she answers. I don't know if she was having a really bad day or she's just a really nasty person. We were helped there 2 days ago and they were amazing. Dr wanted us to come back Sunday and we did and she was just nasty. Yelling at us because according to her I didn't have an appointment and that I was simply a walk in and that's okay those are their rules. Maybe the person that I had talked to on Friday accidentally said appointment but the problem was that Ashely told me all this while yelling and having a really bad attitude. Dr had said it would be a free re check but she said nope I'm charging you $35 dollars hes not the owner or the manager so he doesn't get to say If he charges or doesn't (All this while yelling) Then she calls to tell me she will give me my dogs records and for me to go somewhere else all this still yelling. So confused to why we got treated this way. It wasn't necessary she could of simply talked to me and explained it all to me and I would of understood it all. All I wanted was for my dog to get treated I would of waited but if she treated me this way all through the phone how was she going to treat my dog. So disappointed in her.
What a wonderful and humane set of people, went above and beyond. My biggest thank you to you all !
This is going to be a long post so buckle in and prepare for an honest insider review.nnI worked for North Valley Veterinary Center for almost two years. They hired me on as a Customer Service Representative while I was a student in Bible College. I took anywhere from 17-18 credit hours at school and was able to work full time here at the clinic.nnLet me start by saying that the owners of this business are true, genuine Christians. Why would I start with this? Because it is foundational to how they run their business and how they treat their staff and clients. There is a standard placed on client care with a family environment free of foul language and dishonest communication.nnThey go above and beyond to care for their staff. Due to the nature of a veterinary office that takes in emergency clients, staff may not get the regular 12pm-1pm lunch break, especially if they are working with a critical patient. Many times, management has paid for lunch out of their own pockets to make sure their staff has eaten and has the energy to keep treating your beloved pets. Because I often worked ER and night shifts with my college schedule, management provided free coffee and snacks that showed not only me, but other staff that they cared. If I had an emergency or needed to call out sick, other staff members were ready to jump in cover my shift so that I could take the time I needed to recover or handle a personal emergency. I cannot tell you how many times Aubrey, Liz, Kerstin, and Kristyn were there for me when I needed them.nnTrust me when I say this office is selective when they choose their staff. Because of the level of care they have set to provide for their clients and patients, they will not hire just anyone to fill a position. I remember being interviewed and being asked about my passion for pets and my compassion for people. You need both to be successful in this field. Not all visits to the vet are wellness exams and puppy shots. I've seen the staff on many occasions help carry a critical patient into the office and quickly and efficiently work to stabilize them while other team members quickly comforted and informed the pet parents of what was happening with their beloved pet. They have the best overnight technician, Jasmine who will take time to explain and answer any questions a client may have in addition to providing the best overnight care for those fur babies that need to stay with us. Myself and other staff have comforted clients during those heartbreaking moments when they have to finally say goodbye to their pets after giving a lifetime of love. Dr Blake, Dr. Ohm, Dr. Bosma, and Dr. Folse are knowledgeable of new treatments, both traditional and holistic, that will not only meet the needs of the pet but the budgets of the owner. This is invaluable as most people are in different financial situations and have varying needs.nnThe last thing I will say is that the clinic is not designed for just veterinary care. They are built to provide for all your pet's needs. They offer a nutrition center with staff who are highly knowledgable on different diets as well as offering solutions for behavioral help. There is a boarding facility for not only dogs, but cats as well where the boarding team cares for and loves on your fur babies while you are away or if you need a place to keep them while remodeling or work on your home is being done. Pets with medical conditions can still get treatments and medications that other kennel services may not be able to administer due to the benefit of having an excellent veterinary staff in the same building. This is something that I haven't seen at many veterinary facilities.nnI honestly would have stayed to continue working there had I not gotten married, graduated from college, and moved into my new career of teaching. There was such a loving and family oriented environment provided at NVVC. My managers would help me learn and grow, pray for me when times were tough, and support me as I pursued my college education. Try them and you won't be disappointed.
Sara is amazing. She answered all my questions and was very professional when another customer gave her attitude for being out of a bag of dog food that he needed in a certain size (as if it was her fault). Kudos on playing it cool Sara. And Thank You for being patient with me and all my questions.
