Just Tantau is a refreshing gem in LA! I’ve shopped there since she was in Venice. Unique vintage pieces coupled with new jewelry and creative designs, make it hard not to loose your sense of time. I’m a fan for over 20 years. The best place to shop for gifts for everyone, especially yourself as a way to alleviate covid blues and as a way to support local artisans without breaking the bank. This never has been the store where you’ve seen it all in all the other stores. Tantau has a very discerning eye and excellent taste. And she was the first person in the world to see the value of recycling typewriter keys for jewelry. Of course, there always has been a highly intelligent cat in charge of the place, so there’s that. As Stefan would say, this place has everything - a perfectly brilliant shop, safely away from crowds, with a neighboring place to eat, that cat, and all the cheering up you could ask for.

I have been a client of Just Tantau since waaaaay back when. Carol is a one of a kind person. Her store reflects her unique taste as well as her demand for quality merchandise. Visiting there is a little like coming to a home you didn't know you had, and you get to take a treasure away with you. It is absolutely worth a visit. I guarantee.
