Review of Studio only. This is a great studio for a few reasons. There are a lot of different classes you can take dealing with many aspects of hand building and wheel throwing. There are classes during the day, night and weekends. Instructors are very knowledgeable, and quite patient. Classes aren't too long, vary in length between one and three months mostly. If you don't want to take classes and have an idea of what you are intending to do, you can simply get a studio membership which allows you to come in during studio hours do work on whatever it is your are doing. If you don't like that, there are day passes you can purchase, not a bad idea if you only have a day or two a month to work on something. Pricing is reasonable, have any questions, ask, should be info on the website for most recent pricing numbers. So, if those were not reasons enough, here is my main reason for why I like this place, the staff is extremely helpful. If you want to do something but can't find info on how to do what your thinking of, the staff is very knowledgeable and will likely have an idea on how to proceed. Further, if what you want to do can't be done, they will be honest and tell you what is going to keep you from reaching your goal, and they will try to work with you as best possible to achieve whatever you are trying to do. Last thing, this studio has a wonderful working environment. Not saying everyone is singing and dancing the hours away, it has an overall positive vibe, but if you want to go and get work done, you will have no issue, you want to talk about what you are doing, you will find someone to talk to, you want to have a random discussion about the eating habits of European royalty during the middle ages, you'll likely find someone that can offer an idea or opinion, actual conversations I've had are just as or more random.nSo, been a while since you've played with clay and would like another go? I don't know that you would find a better studio than the one here.
My happy place!!
