I am reviewing this during COVID-19, and giving my review based on my experience before the pandemic. The staff is very helpful and kind. From what I remember there was an event every week for teens, which was pretty cool for Mason students to hang out together. They have tables and computers which allow many people to get work done. As a library itself, there is a large variety of interesting books. Their concept of featuring new books makes it easier to browse for books. A safe, clean, and friendly library.
Staff if friendly and the library has a great selection of books!
For people who have not been to the local Tacoma Public Library in the Proctor District , stop in for a visit This library has a wonderful, friendly and knowledgeable staff. there is something for every age of people and scheduled activities. We enjoy the large selection of DVD's and the online catalogue of available titles. If you love streaming and Ebooks you can turn your home into you own little extension of the library.
This place is more like a community center than a library. I was coming to Tacoma to meet a friend and decided to come early and work remotely from the library. Bad call. Noisy...no quiet or semi-quiet place for me to be with my computer. I made due until a couple of guys sat next to me with a board game...community center. Being unfamiliar to the area I just retreated to my car, in the shade and work until my battery dies. I'll plan better next time. Great place to meet your neighbors though!
Great clean and well kept place. Largest selection of large print books. Very helpful staff
