Tacoma Public Library South Tacoma Branch

The staff were very friendly and courteous. Very helpful and informative. I made easy conversation and we laughed and it was a pleasant experience. I had found my book real easy the place was quiet and clean . even the babies were quiet. Lol

I like the remodel. It depends on who you get when you go. Some of the staff is ultra nice and helpful. Other clerks are just plain rude and unhelpful. So it is a mixed bag.

I like this branch espevially the recent remodel. Nice, quiet, cozy place with friendly staff. Although it is a fairly small library so not nearly the selection as the main downtown branch. Adequate for a small branch.

Right outside the library door a homeless man was leaning against the pillar smoking, this was within 5 feet of the entrance. There were homeless people in the corridor, and I felt very uncomfortable. The bathroom looked clean upon entering but one of the stalls was overflowing and there was feces on the floor. I notified the librarian at the desk and left. (quick note, the staff were nice and friendly) however, I then drove 5.4 miles to go to the Wheelock library located at N 26th street where I felt more comfortable, and it smelled better. Please clean up our neighborhood library.

The blonde librarian at the front desk in the Seahawks jacket was extremely RUDE for no reason. As soon as I walked in and asked her politely how I can use the computer for about 30 mins to update and print a resume she had an attitude so bad I decided to just leave and figure it out another way.
