Bancroft Middle School

This school is an OK school. However, the benefits of going to this school don't even outweigh the benefits. Violence, trashcan fires, gang activity and drug usage are among the usual daily occurrences that the students of Bancroft deal with. Just the beginning of the 16-17 school year, 1000+ chrome books were offered to the 6th graders of Bancroft. NOT 7th or 8th graders. As a result, the school had to dealt with dozens of broken Chromebooks and money losses. From prior experience of being a BNN Member, it is a huge disappointment. All that you do for advisory is sit around for 10 minutes playing board games or being on your phone. No news editing or camera rolling. Unless you find being on your phone an interesting thing to do during advisory, I strongly dis recommend being a part of this team. Security is also bad, there had been more than 20 reports of kids climbing roofs at the school, with none of them being caught, even when they dispatched LBUSD Security. The benefits however, include having some of the most awesome teachers (A.K.A Mr. Gee, Mr. Allen, Ms. Butler, Mr. McCarthy etc.,). Teachers like those mentioned see the potential of today's technology, and incorporate technology into their learning plan, such as the use of Quizziz, Smartphones, and Chromebooks. Google Classrooms, is heavily implemented into most classrooms in the school, allowing you to do schoolwork over the internet. Options for field trips are also very good, particularly if you are 6th grader. If you intend on coming to this school, I suggest you look at better options like Marshall or school with a better reputation.

The staff here are paranoid asf. I know two of the staffs who lie and I think it’s bs. I recommend Hoover middle school

LOL I go here and its awesome I dont uderstand the hate but maybe that was a year ago or so but Now the school is awesome.( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

No safe school kids fight outside and the asisten principal is good for nothing !! My daughter was outside waiting for me to pick her up and a group of 6 grade kids aprouch her friend girl and pull her air and hit her at the floor my daughter she try to defend her friend and she got hit too!!!well she call me and I when the office like always principal was busy sop we try to talk w the asisten I was very mad and cz he tink I was loud and he scare w me soo he call school district safely offices (6 officers) when they come I totally think they come to help the problem NOOOO!!!THEY COME TO KIK ME OUT from school and they was sooo rude w me and my daughter telling me WELL CHANGE SCHOOL I keep try to talk to the principal she never available!!!!! Even when my daughter prevent the teacher about the attack and request some supervision when she got out No-one do nothing about it !!!!!I will make a complaint at longbeach district school !!!
