Bright Star Secondary Charter Academy

i absolutely love how Mr. Burgess teaches he is a very talented man and a very nice and generous person i advise you all talk to him and get to know him he is very caring like all other teachers

Honestly a very bad school. The education system has decayed through the years. I went to this school and it seems as the student does not matter. I recommend more efficient teachers and staff to improve the quality and retrospective of the school. With all due respect, Soutwest High School in El Centro, California is a better institution.

2018-2019 year this year has been a 100% horrible at bright star secondary charter academy with this new principal Garris it’s turned from school to a damn play house for certain people. School has not gotten a single field trip through out the year, you got the principal raising money and instead of going on field trips he has student awho graduated 1-2 years ago working at the school with no experience of what even a “ job really is” instead they taking field trips to Garris office for Starbucks with MAYBE the funds that are suppose to go to our kids. From the last 5-6 years the school has gone down by a big percentage and I hope many read this message and spread this out cause there is a lot going on in this school that many dont know about. This principal is treating this highschool as a preschool. Talking to everyone like they got lost at the wrong highschool to come pick up my own child and having common grounds among the YOUNG ADULTS!!!! He separates genders for school dismissal the past two principals have done a greater job then him maybe that explains why he got moved from the middle school.Just take this in consideration to all families and parents later on were gonna have children teaching children what to learn with no degrees, administration leading from teacher assistants that think have higher power just cause they got moved up to the front office they think they can boss around no. I hope the teachers/counselors that left are happy in the elementary school because this school has gone down to ****

The Educational quality has gone down over the years. Improvement would be great.

I just graduated from this school and we'll it is better than the inglewood district schools you'll find, but with everything there are pros and cons. It's kind of a hit or miss kind of thing. There are teachers that will support you 100% and then there's teacher that you don't understand why they're still working. The administration often times does a lot of changes, so you have to kind of be used to different rules every year and they won't be seen too often on campus. The school lacks a bit of funding and we'll I'm sure not everything done is completley legal. Anyone who goes here try to get involved in honors and AP to get teachers who are great.
