I describe The Huntington Library as Disneyland for gardens. Calling it a museum or garden doesn't do justice to the scale and scope here. You can easily walk around this place for half a day or potentially a full day. I'm usually here for about 2 hours when I visit and I'm walking fast. It's a huge place and you can feel like you are getting lost but I just let that go and roam. You'll eventually find a path. The element of discovery and surprise makes this a breathtaking journey. The variety of gardens from places around the world make it feel like a visit here is travel across the world. It's a beautiful spot to visit anytime of year and especially so needed this year.

This place is a real gem. It has so many areas to stroll through and you feel like you're not in CA. I really enjoyed my time here although I wasn't able to go through the whole park, I loved what I saw. The gardens have some really interesting and beautiful flowers that will keep you wanting to stare at them. This place is a really good place to bring your kids because they have open grass areas to sit and have a picnic on. Lots of room for everyone to be honest and that is always so important. Hoping to go back someday for events they have.

Beautiful! You have to make a reservation ahead of time and pay your entrance fee. There is plenty of parking. It's hard to believe that such a beautiful garden can be in the middle of a neighborhood. There are many different lands: Japanese garden, desert garden, rose garden, etc.nWe also ate at the Cafe. My protein lunch was very good. There was plenty of seating that was spaced apart.

Used to go by myself since the 1960's. Have had many wonderful dates there also. Took my oldest son there, he loves history. Majored at Long Beach State in history. Graduated from there about 1970's.nHaven't been back for a long time. Love the Rose Garden and Pinkie and Blue Boy. Overdue for a visit. Thank You Mr. & Mrs. Huntington.

Even with all of the indoor exhibits being closed, there is still so much to see here! You can't miss the desert garden. I felt like I was in another world, as all of the succulents, cacti, and trees are very large and well tended. Dr. Seuss would be proud.nnThe gardens are massive, and there are currently no open water fountains, so BRING WATER. Bathrooms were tidy and plentiful, and the cafe and gift shop are open near the front gate.
