This place is worth giving a shot. They serve big portions for convenient rates. Consistently neat and with fantastic vibes. Highly recommended.

Came with a group of people from work, so we got to share and try different dishes. Loved everything! The salad with nopales (cactus), various greens, heirloom tomatoes and pumpkin seeds had a very good dressing, and everything tasted fresh. I've oredered their soup, caldo tlalapeno (sp?), which was hearty and full of chunky veggies, rice, lots of chicken, and had a generous slice of avocado. It also had two dried chiles that I've fished out since I can't do very spicy, but the soup still had a good kick to it thanks to chile flakes and whatever else they put in the to spice it up. Their tacos with deep fried squash were a hit as well, and were a vegetarian version of the fish tacos (those came with deep fried cod). Everything was fresh and the flavors and presentation made for an enjoyable meal. Will def come again

I walked in Calavera and the atmosphere of the restaurant had a wonderful Mexican rustic feel. The Cadillac margarita was on point. The chilaquilesnRojas Con Pollo were to die for.

From the first moment you step in this restaurant the stuff gives you a pleasant feeling. Very friendly hosts, it is a happy place to pass time with friends and colleagues or with your date. very good cooking, talented chief cook and stuff, modest cost and attentive service. Warmly recommended.

So dang good. Will customize your order, no problem. Really enjoyed my lunch here with co-workers. Also, their breakfast menu is great, and they said they will make anything you want. They open at 4 a.m. for the early birds!
