It was so much fun watching the horses run. We came to enjoy the 1 dollar beer and it was a beautiful clear day with a view of the Jack Kemp Stadium. Parked free at infield parking lot and enjoyed a nice walk into the park. Apache princess was my lucky horse. Check the site for special events. Nice place to hang out with friends and make a few dollars. Lol.
Had a great Mother's Day at the park. But what happened to the jump houses face painting and pony ride for the kids. That was greatly missed.
Great setting in the hills around Eagle Rock and nice campus setting
As part of the Occidental college campus Jack Kemp stadium is kept clean and well maintained. My experiences here are limited to the Los Angeles Aviator games, but I have been here many times. It's best to bring at least a cushion to sit on as the bleachers are basically giant stone steps that get hot in the Summer sun and are unforgiving when sitting for long periods of time. The Aviators also allow for low-backed chairs to be brought in for games.
Overall great facility. I love the fact that the LA Aviators play here. I just wish the bleachers were a little more comfortable.
