I am a Lawndale HS alumni(class of 2016) and the school was overall great. The teachers were pretty awesome, but of course, some students are not. Teachers do care and teach what they need to cover. If you want to pass and learn, it is 100% possible. Electives are pretty cool and you build nice relationships with peers that are also in your academy. My heart and memories will always be in the Academy of Media Arts!
I'm a senior at Lawndale HS, class of 2014, and I've enjoyed my time at Lawndale. Wish there were more electives and maybe better classrooms but those big fancy new ones aren't going to be ready for my class. :( regardless, I've enjoyed my 4 years here and I'm ready to graduate, you'll enjoy it too.nnPS. once you're a junior, take AP US History, you'll have the best teacher at the school, Mr Bedell. You won't regret it.
The school itself...5 stars. Some of the staff. One.
Not good school. You learn nothing unless you take higher level classes.
