South Bend, seat of Pacific county is a city funded by ruined vacations of their fellow American neighbors from other states. Avoid at all costs traveling the route from Naselle to Aberdeen. This is a well known “speed trap” even for 5 mph over speed limit. Naselle headquarters State Patrol. Then you’ll see a perfect highway with baby smooth asphalt with NO CARS. The only cars you gonna see will be polished new state patrol vehicles and they KNOW your speed while in motion, no need to hide. A LOT of State Patrol cars will be there scattered throughout the route. 3 mph over limit and out of state plates (WA also possible) is a warrant for your vehicle pulled over, your kids crying, rude cop will issue you a citation for 5 mph over limit. Then you’ll continue your route, you will enter the suspiciously clean and perfect town of South Bend with NO ONE outside even when sunny. Empty perfect town. They built a multiple lane wide and perfectly smooth and clean road through their town. Speed limit? It’s 25. Swallow the bait. Use google to find out more about this speed trap capital. Their empty convenience stores, gas stations don’t deserve a penny out of our pockets! If you have to visit it for some reason, for example someone promised you $1000 for this risk, keep your eyes on speed limit signs, go 2 miles slower then speed limit, don’t speed extra feet past the signs, you will be ticketed even if you are slowing down past the sign. Keep 2 hands on the wheel and drive like an old grandma. But I doubt that you won’t be pulled over for suspiciously going too slow and who knows what ticket you’ll get then. And I promise you, this route has NO SCENERY that you gonna miss if bypassing, NO views of the ocean, just a glimpse of a very muddy bay with no ocean view. Forests have been cleared in the past and replanted. South Bend oyster capital? Are you kidding me? It’s a bait for visitors!
