The Long Beach Horse Rides

NEVER EVER RIDE HERE FOR YOUR OWN SAFETY!!!!!!!! NO HELMETS, NO SAFETY PROTOCOL!!!nI am a trail guide/instructor for a barn in Washington and came to this sad excuse of a business all the way from Seaside. I would give it zero stars if I could.......nnWe had a reservation that was made a week in advance for a ride at 11:30am for 6 people. We arrived at 11:17am and were told that since we were “late”, they had sent our horses off with another group. Then, the lady Bambi said they were “running behind” and pushed us until 11:50am and stuck us with an ENORMOUS group of people. THEY HAVE NO HELMET PROTOCOL!!!!!! The guides spent absolutely ZERO time even teaching anyone even basics of riding as well as how to be safe on the trail and ride through without an issue. I ENDED UP HAVING TO ACT AS A TRAIL GUIDE THE ENTIRE HOUR LONG RIDE. Two of the horses’ lead ropes came undone while we were riding and trot over and had to pull my horse over to tie the lead rope back into the horn BECAUSE THE HORSES WERE TRIPPING OVER THEM. There was a guide RIGHT IN FRONT OF THESE PEOPLE AND HE DID NOTHING. Then, at the end when I got off, I ended up having to help 3 of the other customers off of their horses and even tied them up because they had no real Method to have people dismount safely. I was then lectured by one of the wranglers who told me that I couldn’t be “trotting or cantering” because it might “make the other horses stampede”. I was only doing this to close the gaps in space and to get over to the people who needed help quickly . HOW IS THIS PLACE STILL IN BUSINESS!?!?

My Wife, Kids, and I walked to Long Beach Horseback Riding to ask about rates, and our guide, Bambi, was so accommodating that we decided to join the group she was already gearing-up. The ride was serene, relaxing, and safe; the horses we calm and our guide had a ‘bubbly-personality’ when she chatted with us before and after the ride. It had been over 12 Years since we went horseback riding, and I had forgotten how majestic and solemn riding a horse can be; the faith in such beautiful, powerful animals that gently carried us across the dunes to the beach and back was an awesome feeling.nnThank you, Mark (my horse) and Bambi (our guide) for a memorable ride.

Took our 5 children out and we had an amazing time. The wranglers are amazing! My 11 yr old had some big fears but the guild was great with her, to a point we’re my daughter gained the confidence to take the rains and ride back herself. As a parent I was a little nervous about having my children on horses but wow they do a great job at keeping everyone safe. We had so much fun that we went back the next day. Definitely will be back again. Thank you to the staff for the great experience and for the amazing horses.

We were really hoping to have a good experience riding the beautiful horses on the beach. We called 6 days in advanced to make a reservation for the upcoming Sunday at 10 am. We were told the reservation was confirmed. Once we got there, we were told there was no reservation made for us. We came all the way from Corvallis—which is quite a long drive. We are still standing here, waiting to see if there’s anything they can do to fix this. It is almost 10:30. And am hoping they make it right

I have gone here 2 times and loved it!! Plan on taking grandkids here to ride horses also. Great prices! Lots of fun!! Highly recommend for first time riders also!
