SJVC is a good school to go to if you want to study as a medical assistant in a short time. They have great hands-on learning program that helps you learn and they give you time to work with teachers in order for you to be able to learn and work on your skills and get better.

Don’t come to SJVC , for medical assistance. They mix new student and the student who been there for couple of month together... making the new student look and feel stupid, not knowing anything yet but the instructor continued to teach for the old student and left the new student feeling stupid.

Their school is an amazing place if you’re looking to get out into the real world faster than you would a normal 4 years college.

Took the 10 month HVAC course , it was kind of a bummer that 3 of those months were spent doing online work due to COVID but what can you do. The teacher Jason Reynolds is what made my review a 5, even after the course is completed he still makes himself available for his students no matter what time of day it is. Career Services was also a big plus as they helped me find employment right away . If your looking for a career change I would say go for it, you won’t have trouble finding employment as career services takes care of everything .

An amazing institutionnWent here as a student from Feb 2019 until graduation Oct 2019. I was enrolled in the front office medical admin program. 7 months and upon graduation, I passed and got nationally certified for billing/coding. My teacher Ms.Hernandez was amazing, caring and knowledgeable. The school and its staff went above and beyond for me (I was unemployed at the time) and now I am employed and have actual hope for my future. It taught me a variety of skills that applied in many jobs for medical assistants. The bad? It won't teach you everything. It won't get you a Masters Degree and a six figure job. But that's not the point of this trade School. It's a start, a path to better prospects. It's made good on that so far =)
