There is a fairly good-sized public access parking spot for Indian Dan Wildlife Area part way up the canyon. It's fenced in and has information about hunting there. I used it for wildlife viewing that did not disappoint. I also hiked out to Tenas Mtn for stunning views of the Columbia River corridor. The parking area situates on what used to be a farmyard. But recent fires destroyed most of it. Along the creek bushes and trees are growing anew.
