I called the jury services division today (10/6/20) to ask to be excused from jury duty because I just did jury duty less than a month ago. The clerk I spoke with was really nice and professional and took less than 5 minutes to get me excused. I was really impressed!

Today was a difficult day when I arrived with crutches and found the hearing is by Video Zoom, only two minutes to the hearing, both group of police officer at the check gate at the street level and in the building were very Helpful and respectful, they calm me down to the situation, and help me finish my video zoom hearing. Sorry I didn’t get the names, but I know they know themself. Thank you !

No one answers the phones, no way to get records online, they don't honor written requests or repeated written requests for records and they are miles away from anyone who doesn't live in the County so good luck getting documents on your case. Most Courts have online access to documents for free or a modest fee. But not this one. Why is that?

While the courthouse itself is ADA compliant, the experience is very isolating for the disabled. Yes, you can use the restroom, yes, you can get to the jury assembly room, but there is no cafeteria, no place to store your lunch or way to prepare it, no nearby restaurant (fast food or otherwise). I would not willingly serve at this location again. The ADA is meant to allow the disabled to be included, not segregated. At this courthouse, the disabled are treated like students before Brown v. Board of Education. A thoroughly negative, segregated and isolating experience.
