Possibly the coolest alternative theater on the west coast. Jonathan Richman's extended family own and operate this classic Chico venue.nOne time the movie malfunctioned and Jonathan sang a couple Italian love songs while the technical difficulties were figured out.nNichole and her brother are real deal. I want to give it 6 stars.
This place was amazing. We had no idea it was all vegan, so naturally we had to buy as many snacks as we could hold. The popcorn was great with the nutritional yeast sprinkled on top (we had to get a second bag) and we got there early and were able to snag the super comfy couches up front! We paid 6.50 for matinee tickets to an incredible film and the snacks were also incredibly affordable. Go see a good movie on a budget. Thanks Pageant Theatre!
Love this old theatre that's now upgraded....thx for keeping this gem open
The Pageant theatre is an absolute Chico treasure. Today was my first time visiting and I had a wonderful time. It's an excellent place to see less than mainstream films and I am glad we have such a theatre in town. Highly recommend to others!
