Davenport Public Library

The selections are just okay. Also, unless you are an older person the librarian has the attitude that you are a lower life-form. Not cool. A positive thing is that you can use the computers. If you don't sign on the dotted line in the book (which is a binder and pointless) however, and you aren't from Davenport, she will snap at you about it. Which is ridiculous due to the fact the town is RIDICULOUSLY small. It's like Cheers where everybody knows your name. If you go in with an older person she acts entirely different and is all smiles. Totally fake. And rude. I'm polite anyway, because that is how I was raised...but it seriously tests my upbringing to be treated that way. Also the hours they are open suck. Probably a small town thing, but not any less annoying. Libraries are great places and should stay that way, regardless of town size. A lot of books are donated to small town libraries by the locals. I quit going there so much because I don't appreciate the cold shoulder. I just download my books instead. Less hassle and rude behavior. The people that have 5 starred this place are probably friends, well acquainted, have children, or just moved here. The last positive thing I have to say is that you can borrow movies. I do appreciate that.
