Both of my kids went through Mendenhall Middle School and had a really good experience overall. Like with any school, you will have a small number of teachers who should have selected a different profession, but the overall average teacher here is well above the norm. Feel good about your kid's experience if they get a chance to go to this school.
Mendenhall is known for its great academics and athletics, but attending the school is not what you would expect. They have a mediocre staff, but I also feel like they are trying to make school feel like prison. At this point, I have never wanted to go to high school so badly.
Eh, its better than East at least. I mean, they dont do drugs here unlike East. 10/10
My son has really enjoyed his time at Mendenhall. He is engaged and enjoys school.
The P.E. curriculum was horrible. No matter is I worked hard in PE and did everything else amazing I was one of the slowest runners so I failed PE because for some reason your entire PE grade is based off of running. So if you can't run reconsider. Another thing is in 6th grade math they teach you all about positive mindset while PE is constantly ruining that mindset while telling us to grow up that in life there are losers and people are in last place. True but they don't have to be so harsh. Another thing is I was treated very rudely by the staff there. I ended up transferring.
