Located in one of the city’s most historic buildings on 3rd Street downtown, the Livermore Art Association is dedicated to preserving and showcasing works by local artists.nnThe association’s galleries include paintings, ceramics, photographs, and sculptures. They are regularly open to the public for part of the week and on the weekends.nnThe facility’s hours vary but are often extended significantly during the season when the local farmer’s market is held on K Street.nnIt’s a great stop for those interested in checking out amazing work without paying the large entrance fees usually found at private museums and galleries.

A great treasure! Beautiful historic building with peaceful surroundings. Perfect place to purchase one of a kind souvenirs from the local artists. The ladies who work there are wonderful and they can tell you great stories about the history of Livermore and the up coming events.

Rude and unfriendly staff. I arrived near closing time and the signs were still up in front saying they were open, the door was unlocked and the woman I encountered immediately was dismissive and rude when I walked in. I informed her that Google maps said they were still open and she did not care. A definite disappoinment because I was looking forward to the visit.
