Working with Kevin has been a wonderful experience. I had been having pain in my left knee for months which I could not treat on my own. I had been an physically active person and to have on going knee pain had been inhibiting some of the activities I loved to do- play basketball with my kids, running, daily errands. Kevin is extremely professional and even though I was only able to have PT sessions via zoom due to Covid-19. He was able to effectively explain the different exercise movements and also watch me do them effectively. After doing his stretches and exercises for 3-4 months I was able to relieve my knee pain and reach my goal of getting back to the activities that I loved- playing with my kids, running, and doing my daily errands pain free.nKevin is a very understanding PT professional and he always stays in touch on a weekly basis to see how things are progressing for his patients. I would highly recommend Kevin for any physical therapy requirements if needed. He knows what he is talking about and will guide you to reach your goals.

It’s amazing how much my lifting has improved since seeing Dr. Kevin at Chu Performance Physical Therapy. As a beginner Olympic Weightlifter without prior experience in strength training, I sought out a Physical Therapist that specializes in strength sports. I found out I was missing fundamental mobility and range of motion.nnAfter following his plan and practicing the exercises every day, 6 months later my lifting improved dramatically. My coaches can’t believe how much my squat depth and balance changed in a short amount of time.nnDr.Kevin’s detailed plan, accountability, and friendly personality make him easy to work with. Also, he’s easy to talk to, he understands emotions and mental health are a part of the process and he’s happy to discuss any challenges that occur. I attribute my current and future success in Olympic Weightlifting to Dr. Kevin. There are an infinite amount of reasons why I would recommend him, schedule your appointment today and you won’t regret it.

I first came to Kevin when I started experiencing back, hip, and knee pain during and after my powerlifting and weightlifting workouts. I had what felt like sciatic pain that started in my lower back and shot to my knees, and upper back tightness that made my neck stiff.nnDoctors visits typically aren’t comfortable for patients, but when I met with Kevin, he made the experience very welcoming. As a 24 year old, I felt embarrassed to tell anyone that it hurt to squat or bend down, that I had knee and back pain, and I felt terrible because I thought I had to give up doing the things that I loved. However, Kevin made it very easy for me to open up to him, and he assured me that I would be able to lift weights again without pain.nnBesides feeling comfortable enough to be vulnerable with Kevin, he was very professional and was able to provide a seamless evaluation that addressed all of my concerns. He explained to me why I was experiencing the pain, how to move better so it doesn’t happen, and prescribed a customized plan for me to follow outside of our visits. He made it very easy for me to understand through real-life scenarios and analogies. Besides connecting with and helping his clients, I feel Kevin’s most outstanding trait is that he genuinely cares and is passionate about his craft.nnOverall, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience with Kevin. I’m able to move freely without worrying about pulling a muscle or something of that nature. Thanks to Kevin, if there is something wrong, I’ll understand why there’s something wrong and fix it instead of going straight to the medicine cabinet for Tylenol or ibuprofen.nnThank you, Kevin! =)

I sprained my ankle badly while abroad and never addressed it. This lead to a loss of range of motion in my ankle and issues in my knee that made it impossible to squat or do anything that involved squatting without pain. This problem continued for months after the sprain and even after a significant time off.nnI decided on seeing Kevin because many of my friends recommended him and also because he is a lifter himself.nnWorking with Kevin has been great! The mobility and exercise plan that Kevin developed for me was 100% effective. My knee is pain-free. Kevin also addressed some deficiencies in my hip mobility that have lead to performance increases in my squat. Kevin is very thorough and explains everything in detail. He has an app that lists his specific plan for you along with video demonstrations. All this makes it very easy to stay on track.nnI highly recommend Kevin to anyone looking for a physical therapist or to improve their fitness and mobility.

I started treatment with Kevin at Chu Performance Physical Therapy about six months ago, looking for help with strength and pain management related to two issues: 1) a decade-old knee problem that caused me frequent pain and discomfort, and 2) a recent injury to my lower back/hip, caused from lifting a heavy weight. My primary concern was the injury, which left me nearly immobilized and dealing with constant pain for over a month before seeking treatment. After speaking with Kevin, he created a plan to address my pain, with primary focus on building strength and mobility so that I would be able to prevent re-injury and foster habits that would help keep pain at bay. Because of the focus on long-term goals, I did also see an acupuncturist for pain relief.nnI can say without a doubt that working with Kevin has been the key component of my recovery over the last six months. Our routines have helped to address both of the issues I presented with, and I am now nearly pain-free. I noticed a clear correlation between my commitment to Kevin’s routines and the reduction in my pain levels. Kevin helped me to understand that overcoming serious injuries requires serious commitment, but doing so is possible by pushing yourself and developing good habits (under the eye of a trained professional). Highly recommend for those looking to learn how to keep your body fit and strong.
