It's a great bookstore that offers something different. I discovered the Desert Oracle, a small sized 'zine about life and odd goings on in the Mojave desert. I saw an autobiography from underground cartoonist Robert Crumb. There's Moleskine journals and seven year pens and a small vinyl record collection. Step in and discover Issues for yourself.

The new place on Piedmont is much better, but recently when I made a special trip there, they had only about 4 cooking titles. Disappointing. Not sure if I’ll try again, when CVS has more.

I love Issues! It's my happy place. Great little Used Book section, vinyl too. Really nice selection of new books- with a focus on music, art, film, fun stationary , a cool zine section and above all- the greatest selection of magazines in the East Bay for sure! Noella and Joe (the owners) are extremely knowledgeable and friendly people. Definitely check it out

Great neighborhood zine shop! Excellent selection in a small and inviting store front. They also have local artists zines, cards, amongst other items. It's one of the shops that make Piedmont Ave home. *bonus, theres a great vinyl shop (stranded) right next door. Drop in and check them out, your guaranteed to come home with something new : )

A great selection of magazines, with numerous selections that you won't find in many other places. Friendly folks working there too. I really enjoyed this shop and I'm only left with one question: who rated this place 1 star?
