Someone recomended Free Oakland to me 3 weeks ago. On this particular day i was determined to visit. I went more than 15 miles out of my way searching for what i needed and Free Oakland was my last resort for the day; BUT 1st time visiting.nnOmg what a find in deed, thank you Free Oakland Up!! Great place for unexpected and *free* finds. Go for one of the plant fundraisers if you need plants! Healthy, mature, pretty plants for reasonable amounts *swoon*

Best Thrift Store ever! Except for a few fundraising items and the succulents, everything is FREE! But you can only take one piece per visit. Oh, the torture of having to make a choice. You can always come back tomorrow for another piece. Or create your own work of art with the help of one of the artists in residence. Leave a donation on your way out to keep this gem open.
